Rangers add misery to Mathare

Former kenya Premier League champions misery continued today after suffering another defeat in the hands of Posta Ranges.

Sitting in the relegation zone just above Zoo Kericho, Mathare lost 2-0 to visiting Posta Rangers at the Kasarani stadium in the Friday league.

Amos Kigadi came off the bench to score the winning goal after Alex Lungaji had scored the opening goal for the mailmen.

Luganji had opened the score for Posta in the 6th minute for a 1-0 lead before Kigadi sealed the victory in the 80th minute to secure maximum points for former Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi a second successive win.

This was the second win for Rangers after a 1-0 win over defending champions Gor Mahia.

The win took Rangers tally to 17 points after 16 matches but they remain 14th because of inferior goal difference to 13th placed Ulinzi Stars. Mathare are 17th with nine points from 14 games.
