Leaders Migori Youth will be taking on Equity Bank in their penultimate round of National Super League (NSL) match in the battle for promotion into the Kenya Premier League slots next season.
The former KPL side that was docked off three points, resumed to the top of the table following the Sports Dispute Tribunal (SDT) ruling in their favour after suspending the decision by the FKF Appeals Committee.
The tribunal’s Deputy Chairperson Allan Mola Owinyi, certified the matter as urgent and issued interim orders staying the implementation of the Appeals Committee ruling delivered on June 2, 2026.
The dispute stems from Migori Youth’s January National Super League match against Kabati Youth FC for alleged fielding uneligible player Collins Ouma Otieno.
Migori Youth welcomed SDT’s decision, assuring its supporters, sponsors, and stakeholders that it remains focused on its sporting objectives while the legal process takes its course and that restored the team’s lead on 77 points after playing 36 matches, winning 24, losing 7 and drawing 5.
Second placed 3k, on 73 points will be hosted by Mwatate United as third placed Mombasa United play Nzoia Sugar FC.
