Rising Stars, the Kenya U20 National team defeated Sudan under 20 team in a friendly match played today at the Nyayo Stadium.
As part of their preparations for the CECAFA under 20 champions, won 2-1 after coming from a goal down ahead of Tanzania championships.
Buoyed by their determination to prove themselves a worthy competition in the CECAFA U20 championships, Matthew Mwendwa showcased his exemplary skills again bagging a goal at the 78th minute.
Rising Stars have been pooled in Group C of the tournament alongside Ethiopia and Sudan.
Group A is comprised of hosts Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia, and Djibouti, while Group B will have Burundi, Eritrea, South Sudan, and Uganda.
