Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) side Eldoret Falcons and Solasa Queens reaped big in the opening fixtures of the 2020 Edition of Solasa Football Tounrnament played today in Eldoret.
Falcons, preparing for the 2020/2021 KWPL season at the end of the month took control of pool B played at the Eldoret ASK ground while Solasa leads pool A.
In the opening fixture Falcons, one of the most expreinced side stunned Espodec 3-0 before drawing against The University of Eldoret (UOE) to top the pool.
In another pool B matches, Great Link were 2-1 winners over Barca as Espedac, who lost the opening match to Falcons beat Barca by a solitary goal.
On Saturday, Falcons will be facing off with Barca wand Great Links while UOE play Great Links before Espedac tackle UOE.
Hosts Solasa mercilessly thrashed their opponents, starting with a 5-0 over Cherunya Divas abd a 6-0 against G Save Santos were 5-0 winners over Eldoret Rangers and Cherunga Divas were 1-0 winners over Santos.
In pool A, leaders Solasa will be hosting Santos as well as Eldoret Rangers while Santos will tackle G Save and the latter playing Cherunya Divas.
