Rupia ditch Kenya Police for Singida

Elvis Rupia has left the Kenyan Premier League side Kenya Police FC and will join Tanzania’s Singida Fountain Gate FC in the Tanzanian Premier League. 

The striker who stayed at the police for two years, won the Golden Boot last season after breaking the 26 record set by Moris Aloo Sonyi in 1976 while playing for Gor mahia to 27 and will join compatriots Duke Abuya and Joash Onyango, who is the captain of the club.

In a statement from the Kenya Police FC read: “Thank you, Elvis Rupia, for the moments we shared. We, the Kenya Police FC, wish you all the best in your future endeavors.”

Rupia previously played for AFC Leopards, Wazito, Nzoia Sugar, Muhoroni Youth, and Nakuru All-Stars.

He also turned up for Power Dynamos FC in the Zambian Super League.
