Senegal send Morans parking at Africa Fiba World Cup qualifiers

Kenya men’s basketball team, the Morans were bundled out of the ongoing Africa FIBA World Cup qualifiers in the hands of Senegal yester night in Alexandria, Egypt.

The Sadat Gaya coached side lost 54-86 to Senegal on Sunday after losing 72-39 to hosts Egypt on Saturday to exit the qualifiers.

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were awarded free points with 20-0 goals against Morans who had arrived in Alexandria a day after the event had tipped off and they were to play the opening fixture against the central African side.

The event attracted—Angola, Cameroon, Cape Verde, DR Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Guinee, Nigeria, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia, and Uganda.

Rwanda, Central Republic and Mali joined Kenya as the only teams that crashed out of the 16-team tournament. The top three from each group will advance to the final round.
