Shadrack Maluki has unveiled his Team Fresh campaign ahead of the 2025 National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) elections set for April 24th in Nairobi.
As the president of Kenya Judo Federation (KJF), Maluki said that he will be supporting athletes who have suffered for lack of pitches and other necessities to produce good results at the international level.
Speaking while unveiling his team Fresh, Maluki said that indeed, the sport has been affected by lack of modern venues across the country, forcing teams to rely on private entities.
On his way to succeed outgoing NOC-K president Paul Tergat, Maluki noted the gaps in talent identification and development.
The man, who has been the first vice president of NOC-K, if elected into the office will be deputized by Athletics Kenya (AK) youth development committee chair Barnaba Korir as first deputy president, Table Tennis Federation president Andrew Mudibo as Secretary General aspirant, Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) president Nahashon Randiek as second deputy president, while Fencing Federation president Fred Chege to be the treasurer.
Maluki will go head-to-head with NOCK secretary general Francis Mutuku for the presidency.
