Kenya Premier League (KPL) takes a break, paving way for Sportpesa Shield Cup this weekend with defending champions Kariobangi Sharks taking on Murang’a Seal FC in the last 16.
Sharks who defeated Elim FC , edged out Sofapaka FC to win the title will be hosting Murang’a after eliminating National Super league side Kisumu All Stars. They duo will be facing off at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani on Monday.
2017 champion AFC Leopards who thrashed Transfoc fc will return to Bukhungu again to battle Bungoma Super Stars who shocked 2009 KPL champions Sofapaka in the best of 32.
But the big match will be between Bandari against KPL champions Gor Mahia that will be played on 10th at Kasarani.
In other matches, Western Stima hosts Wazito at Kasarani on Saturday as Mwatate play Congo Boys.
