Former champions Sofapaka, for the second time slowed the Kakamega Homebyz speed to clinch the title in today’s Kenya premier league match played at the Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega.
Just like the first leg, the 2209 champions Sofapaka held the run-away leaders Homeboyz in a one-all draw when Lawrence Juma converted a penalty to hand Sofapaka a point for a 1-0 lead but David Okoth levelled the score.
The draw cuts Homeboyz’s lead at the top to eight points to 54 from 26 matches while remained 12th on the log with 30 points, with a game in hand.
In other results of the day, Kariobangi Sharks were 0-2 winners against KCB while hosts Bandari were held to a 2-all draw against Nzoia Sugar.
