Reigning African javelin champion Sheila Wanyonyi has won Kenya a silver medal in the women F12 Javelin competition at the ongoing World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India.
The SOYA Awards runner up threw 38.63m to finish second behind China’s Zhao Yuping took gold after a best score of 45.22m before Anna Kulinich-Sorokina bagged bronze her best throw of 37.74m.
Wanyonyi’s best score was also her personal best (PB), surpassing her previous mark of 35.03 metres.
