Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) will soon be hiring a new coach following the exit of Paul Feeney.
The union is set to conduct interviews for the position for the Kenya Sevens head coach according to Director of Rugby Thomas Odundo.
Odundo said they have already received 14 applications for the post from local and foreign tacticians.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Odundo said KRU will shortlist six candidates who will be interviewed for the Kenya Sevens head coach slot.
The new head coach is expected to lead Shujaa in the new season, expected to start in October with Kenya hosting the Safari Sevens International tournament.
Earlier KRU Chairman Oduor Gangla had said KRU will resume local tournaments (Kenya Cup and Championship) and international competitions after a green light from the government through the Ministry of Health.
