Kenya will be fielding three teams at this year’s Safari Sevens, the annual rugby 7s tournament which new dates announcement.
The kenya Rugby Union (KRU) announced that the 26th edition of the annual tournament will be staged next month at the Machakos stadium where Kenya will field Shujaa, Morans and Kenya 7s champions Kenya Harlequins.
The history tournament, will for the first time be played in Machakos between October 11th-13th that promises to deliver rugby action.
The KRU director Leslie Mwangale said that the tournament was moved to Machakos after many stadiums in Nairobi were closed for renovation ahead of Africa Cup of Nations and Africa Championships while the traditional RFUEA Grounds has become too small to accommodate the growing number of spectators.
So far, according to Mwangale, eight teams have confirmed their participation.
