Kenyans Winfridah Moraa Moseti and Vincent Kipkemoi Ng’etich won silver and bronze respectively in today’s Tokyo marathon held in Tokyo, Japan.
Moraa won silver in women’s race after timing 2:16:56 behind Ethiopian Sutume Asefa Kebede who won the title after cutting the tape in 2:16:31 as compatriot Hawi faysa settled for bronze at 2:17:00.
In the same context, defending champion Rosemary Wanjiru Monica was 5th after timing 2:19:57.
In men, Ngetich was the top Kenyan, finishing third at 2:04:00 behind Ethiopians Tadese Tekele who won the title in 2:03:23 anf Deresa Geleta coming second at 2:03:51.
Defending champion Benson Kipruto failed a back to back victories when he managed 6th position at 2:05:46.
