Kenya Simbas and Kenya Lionesses defeated Uganda Cranes to retain the Elgon Cup for the fifth time in a row during yesterday’s event at the at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.
The Jerome Paarwater side won by 20-13 against Uganda to redeem their image after losing the Victoria Cup title last weekend in Uganda.
“We have had short training periods with several new players. My prayer is to have longer training periods to improve our basic core skills for next year,” added Paarwater.
The Kenya Lionesses also retained their Elgon Cup title with an 87-3 thrashing of Uganda.
