Simbas to open Curie Cup campaign against Georgia in South Africa

National rugby 15s side Kenya Simbas will open the Currie Cup campaign against Georgia next week in South Africa.

The annual tournament, which kicks off on Saturday will see paul Odera coached side play high flying Georgia on March 26th.

Ranked 13th in the world, Georgia has won six Rugby World Cups and will also be facing off with France, England, and Italy.

After Georgia, they will play Valke on April 9 and followed by Zimbabwe on April 23, Griffons on April 30 and Border Bulldogs 7th may.

The team will then take a two-week break before resuming hostilities with Boland Cavaliers on May 21. A week later, the national team will be in action against South West District Eagles.

The Simbas’ final two fixtures will be against Leopards on June 4 and Eastern Province Kings on June 11 respectively. The top four teams qualify for the semifinals.
