Sony Sugar, Tusker reigns supreme in KPL

Sony Sugar and Tusker registered wins in today’s Kenya Premier League matches played in various fields.

Sugar Millers edged out Vihiga United by a solitary goal in a match played at Bukhungu stadium. Former Gor Mahia forward Enock Agwanda scored the lone goal to take maximum points away in Kakamega.

Agwanda goal in the added minutes ended the unbeaten run for Vihiga.

But Tusker thrashed Mount Kenya United formerly Nakumatt 3-0 in a one sided match at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Goals from David Juma, Amini Muzerwa and Kevin Omondi sealed victory for Mount Kenya who survived relegation courtesy of Ushuru as losers continues with their winless ways in the 2018/2019 season.

Juma slotted home the opener on eight minutes as substitute Muzerwa, who was introduced for the injured Juma, added a second for the brewers before the break. Substitute Omondi notched the third to give Robert Matano’s side their win in three outings this term.

After a 1-1 draw away to Sony Sugar in the opening day of the season, the Brewers were shocked 1-0 by newly-promoted Western Stima last weekend in Kisumu.
