South Africa successfully retained the Rugby Women Africa Cup title following the 35-20 victory against hosts Kenya at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi Kenya.
Kenya failed to contain the opponents in a four-nation tournament as the champions ended Kenya’s unbeaten run in the one-week long championships.
The winners earned her first try through Alicia Auries and with Jakkie Cilliers adding the conversion for a 7-0 lead into break before Faith Livoi unconverted try for a 7-5 lead.
While Kenya fell short of the championship, the Lionesses produced a spirited display that pushed the continental champions all the way in a memorable contest
