Spain defeated England to win the UEFA European Championship title during the final played on Sunday evening at the Olympia stadion in Berlin, Germany.
The 2-1 victory earned Span their 4th title in a hard-fought final amidst pre-match skepticism over his tactical choices.
England head coach Gareth Southgate
Nico Williams scored first for Spain with just 70 seconds into the second half of the match before substitute Cole Palmer leveled terms but Spain’s substitute Mikel Oyarzabal scored the winning goal in the 87th minute.
The triumph cements Spain’s status as one of Europe’s football powerhouses, while England, despite their spirited display, endured heartbreak in their second consecutive Euros final.
