Harambee Stars played to a one all draw against Democratic Republic of Congo in a friendly match before traveling to cairo, Egypt for the opening ceremony on Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set kick off on 19th June.
As Ayub Masika Timbe, the man who worked hard in the field limped off the pitch and replaced by Paul Were in the 56th minute.
DRC came from a goal down to level Harambee Stars their final preparations for the AFCON when they played at the Estadio de Santa Ana in Madrid, Spain.
Stars top striker Michael Olunga struck in the 25th minute to give Kenya the lead from his left foot shot but Arthur Masuaku freekick in the 87th minute took a deflection on Kenyan keeper Patrick Matasi to roll into the net.
Despite allowing the simple goal roll into his net, Matasi who plays for St. George in Ethiopia saved a penalty.
The Sebastien Migne led charges played the second friendly match after winning by a solitary goal against Madagascar I the midweek friendly.
