Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia will be unveiling Steve Pollack as the new head coach following the resignation of Hassan Oktay yesterday.
The English international will mastermind a win for Gor Mahia Aigle Noir Makamba FC in the preliminaries of the 2019/2020 Caf Champions League.
Pollack arrived in the country today will sign a two year contract with multiple champions where the team will be departing to Bujumbura Friday morning in time for Sunday’s Champions League first round first leg clash.
The 58 year old appointment proves second time lucky for Polack as he came in third behind Oktay from among 40 applicants during a rigorous interview exercise conducted last November.
He has managed Finland sides KPV and Viking. He also played professionally as a defender for a number of top-flight clubs in Finland.
