Former champions Tusker FC, Shabana and Bidco United were the winners in today’s Kenya premier Matches played across the country.
In Machakos, Dennis Wanjala scored an all important goal when Tusker edged out Nairobi City Stars by a solitary goal to move to the summit of the league with 51 points after playing 27 matches to overtake Kenya Police on 49 points after playing 27 matches, lost by a solitary goal to Ulinzi Stars on Friday.
Kisii based Shabana lacked respect for the hosts, whipping FC Talanta 4-2 at the Dandora stadium in Nairobi.
Austin Odongo scored first for Shabana in the 23rd minute before Brian Michira double the score after converting from the penalty as Cyprian Mangeni halved the score to 1-2 into break.
Odongo was on target again for his brace in the 61st minute, giving Shabana 3-1 as Talanta scored the second for 3-2 but Michira sealed the 4-2 victory.
With the victory, Shabana moves to 4th position on 43 points as Talanta has 26 points.
Back to Machakos, Bidco United were 2-0 winners over league returnees Mathare United with goals from Clinton Asuago and Simon Abuko.
At St Sebastien Park in Murang’a County, Murang’a Seal were held to a barren draw against Kariobangi Sharks.
