Former Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Tusker fc registered their win while newly promoted side Kenya Commercial Bank collected a point in the KPL midweek matches played today.
Tusker fc stunned visiting Chemelil Sugar 2-1 in a KPL match played today at Ruaraka grounds. Tusker returnee Boniface Muchiri and Michael Madoya scored for the winners after coming from a goal down.
Biko Tindi netted first for Chemelil from Justin Monda’s corner on 26th minutes but Madoya equalised in the 41st as Muchiri sealed the victory for the hosts with his goal in the 83rd minute.
The win moves the brewers to third position on 17 points after nine games.
At Moi Stadium, Kisumu, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) snatched a point from their hosts Western Stima in a goalless draw.
The draw was their fourth in the season and sit second from the bottom with seven points. Stima on the other hand, have seen their storming start come a bumpy stretch and now sit fourth on the log with 16 points.
