Uasin Gishu will be hosting the inaugural Uasin Gishu Soccer Night Gala to be staged in Eldoret on 12th December 2021.
The Strawberry Hotel awards are organized by PALAC, the sports consultancy firm that aims at redefining modern sports business whilst at the same time meeting clienteles’ needs in the sports business, practice and education.
The focus is on promoting and celebrating individual brilliance and team efforts among sports men and women in Kenya while inspiring talented footballers at the grassroots.
Top football will be celebrated following their contribution in developing the sport in the vat county that has produced top players for great teams across the country.
At the centre referees category, Margaret Wafula, the only women in the male dominated nominations will be facing off with Emmanuel Ochieng, Bruce Mandela, Nelson Katosh, Fred Omido and Philex Moikut.
Assistant referees will be the battle among Shamilla Bengo, Edwin Ngaiywa, Eliud, Mike Omondi, Caroline Muhati, Seth Nyagol and Felix Ochieng.
Other categories include goalkeeper, top striker, best coach, disciplined player, best young, assistant, best blogger, best media and fan of the year award.
At goalkeeper of the year, Branch will be the battle between Mfalme FC, Hofenbach, Swara FC and BMC while Hillary Kipchirchir is the only nominated for the btanch striker award.
Best branch defenders are Huruma United’s Moffat Kamau will battle with Dominic Kipkoech as Best coach will be between Hofenbach and BMC.
Best Young player, Most Discipline team, Best Media, Best International award, Best National Award, Special Award, Corperate Award, best sponsor, best fan
Club’s fair Play will be between Gene Queens, Tumkas, Hoffenbach, GFE 105 and Dela Sharks.
Individuals fighting for Best writers’ or bloggers are Caren Majimbo, Mirmet Kiptoo, David Ochieng, Sabuni Khwa Sabuni and Jemes Ahela.
Best coach Division Two will be between Kelvin Mafuta, Odipo, Pilo and Oliver.
