Former champions Ulinzi Warriors defeated the reigning champions Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) yesterday in the National Basketball League.
Warriors were 82-81 triumph KPA at the Nyayo Stadium where the later was seeking maximum points in their two fixtures to close in on unbeaten leaders Nairobi City Thunder, who have 22 points from 11 matches.
With the loss, the champions remaisn in position three on 16 points in the 12-team men’s league.
However, they wanted to exetend their run after beating Absa 76-56 on Saturday.
The weekend action was the last for the year as the league takes a Christmas and New Year break. Action resumes on January 27.
