The University of Eldoret (UoE) won netball titles for both men and women at the Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA) Rift Valley Conference held at Moi University Annex Campus over the weekend.
In men’s category, UoE were 18-08 against Moi University Main campus to lift the title ahead of national play-offs set for next year.
At the semifinals, UoE edged out Egerton University Njoro Campus in 27-12.
UoE defeated Moi Main campus 43-15 for the title following their 19-15 thrashing of Masaai Mara University (MMU) from Narok.
The teams coached by Stella Kiptoo will represent the conference at the national championships.
In volleyball, it was an exchange as Egerton men defeated Moi University Main Campus while Moi University Main campus edged out Egerton for the title.
Egerton won the title hosts 3-1 (25-21, 15-25, 25-09 and 25-19).
Moi beat Kabarak University 1-3 (17-25, 25-22, 27-29 and 20-25) while the champions stunned Moi University West Campus in straight sets of 19-25, 16-25 and 20-25 at semifinals played at the same venue.
In women, Moi Main campus won in 3-1 against Egerton in 25-21, 25-18, 15-25 and 25-20 to claim the title.
At the semifinals, Egerton had beaten The University of Eldoret (UoE) 3-1 (25-20, 25-15, 23-25 and 25-23) while the winners were 3-0 winners over Masaai Mara University (MMU) in straight sets of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-15.
