Upper Hill stunned defending champions Laiser Hill to win the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) rugby sevens title.
The Nairobi champions edged out Rift Valley champions 27-14 to claim their maiden title in the matches played in a round robin.
Even today’s match against Okeeswa from Tanzania will not make any impact over Upper Hill who is already done with their matches while Laiser Hill.
Calvin Kahindi and Dennis Onyona scored two tries each with Pius Odera also going over once. Laiser Hill had beaten Hana International and hoped to upset Upper Hill but that was not the case.
In 2019 alone, Upper Hill dethroned Laiser Hill in two fronts after ruling the nationals held in Mombasa in April where they won 10-5.
To win the East Africa title, Upper Hill defeated Kiira College of Uganda, hosts Okeeswa, St. Peters Mumias, Hana International from Uganda and Laiser Hill losing only to Jinja SS of Uganda.
