United States International University (USIU) reclaimed their basketball titles as Kenya Universities Sports Association (KUSA) Open tournament came to an end on Sunday 10th at Moi University West Campus.
USIU won both men and women titles to silence their critics following their dominance in the past championships that were taken from them last year.
As men defeated then defending champions Maseno, their women side beat hosts and then holders Moi University recording 32-26 and 22-08 in men and women respectively.
At the semifinals, the champions beat Meru 26-14 while the finalists Maseno were 25-32 winners over Moi University. USIU women champions stunned Technocal University of Kenya (TUK) 16-07 while Moi were 12-05 winners over Technocal University of Mombasa (TUM) at the semi-finals.
