After picking 10 points from Las Vegas, the 5th leg of HSBC world IRB 7s series, Kenyan Shujaa will once again face Fiji, France and Spain in the Vancouver leg in Canada this weekend.
Shujaa narrowly lost Australia by 26-21 in the 5th position semi final today morning.
Kenya shone over Fijians 17-14 in their Group A meeting in Las Vegas last weekend before proceeding to the Main Cup quarter finals that Shujaa lost to Argentina.
At the same time, Shujaa will play perennial rivals France and Spain in the pools at the sixth stop of the Series.
Las Vega leg in USA questioned the team’s performance, which was lower than the previous legs of Hamilton and New Zealand.
Innocent Simiyu’s charges finished seventh in Vegas after picking 10 points to take their total haul to 45, remaining perched at eighth in the World Rugby rankings.
The team will be optimistic of improving their performance under the cold conditions in Canada
Shujaa failed to make it off the groups during last year’s Canada Sevens, finishing third behind South Africa and England. They went on to lose to Samoa 26-7 in the Challenge Trophy quarter finals
