KCB FC and AFC leopards were the only winners in today’s Kenya Premier League matches played across the country.
Today, KCB beat former champions Ulinzi Stars 1-0 to go top of the table with ten points from four matches played in the 18 team league while AFC Leopards, who beat Nairobi City Stars 2-1, moved to second position with nine points after winning three and losing one.
Francis Kahiro, who rejoined the club from Bandari scored the solitary for KCB in a match played at the Police Sacco with head coach Patrick Odhiambo praising his side for the maximum points ahead of Kakamega Homeboyz on October 20th after an international break.
At Dandora stadium, Leopards clawed City Stars 2-1 after Victor Otieno scored with just 15 minutes into the match as Elvin Noor equalized for Stars and Hassan Beja scored in his net to earn Leopards maximum points.
City Stars’ remains winless I the league with a draw to remain second last in the table.
Playing their opening match, the FKF Champions Kenya Police played to a 1-1 draw against former champions Tusker.
Marvine Nabwire scored for Police in the 18th minute after exiting CAF Confederation Cup last weekend before Lawrence Luvanda spoilt Police party in the 84th with an equalizer.
Third placed Kariobangi Sharks match against Kakamega Homeboyz was postponed due to heavy rainfall and will be played tomorrow.
