World marathon record holder Dennis Kimetto will be the star attraction at this year’s Vienna City Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label road Race.
The race, which will take place on 22nd April, Kimetto will enter history books together with Haile Gebrseslassie and Paula Radcliffe to compete in the Australian Capital.
At 34, Kimetto holds the world record at 2:02.57 he set during 2014 Berlin marathon as he plans to rekindle his fortunes on road running.
Kimetto will battle out with defending champion Albert Korir, the 2014 Kass Marathon champion.
The former Chicago and Tokyo marathon winner will be chasing a course record of 2:05.41 set by Ethiopian Getu Feleke in 2014.
