Four time Kenya Women Premier League champions Vihiga Queens will be taking on Kibera Soccer Women at the finals of the FKF Women’s Cup on Saturday June 28th at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
The duo will be chasing their maiden FKF Cup title which has been won by Ulinzi Starlets since its inauguration four years ago.
However, a new champion will be unveiled following the elimination of the three time champions Ulinzi under the hands of Kenya Police at the quarterfinals.
The final, which was to be held two weeks ago was postponed by Kenya Football Federation to allow players represent the country at the CECAFA Senior Womwn Challenge in Tanzania, which harambee Starlets finished second behind the hosts.
The Boniface Nyamunyauh side Vihiga defeated Bungoma Queens 2-1 in Mumias Sports Complex at the semifinal while David Vijago side Kibera beat the newly crowned Kenya Police Bullets 2-0 at Dandora Stadium.
