Breaking 4: Faith Kipyegon fall short in Paris

Three time Olympic 1,500m champion Faith Chepnegtich Kipyegon failed to hit the under 4 minute mark in today’s Breaking 4 Challenge in Paris, France.

The Stade Charlety challenge was to make multiple world 1,500m champion to become the first women on the globe to run the One Mile under four minutes but that was impossible after crossing the finish line in 4:06.42.

She managed to lower her own 4:07.64 world record that she won during the 2024 but her current time, can be recognised by the World Athletics as a world record.

Just like her training mate and mentor Eliud Kipchoge, who compete at the Breaking 2 and Ineos Challenge.

At 31, Kipyegon was paced by world leading athletes.
