Reigning Kenya Women premier league (KWPL) champions Vihiga Queens humiliated Wadida in the KWPL match played today at Mumias Sports Complex.
As Harambee Starlets striker Mwanahalima Adam netted a hat-trick as Thika Queens thrashed Zetech University in another encounter.
The champions humiliated their visitors 5-0 with Topister Situma and Cynthia Shilwatso netting a brace as Teresa Engesha scored one.
Engesha opened the goal floods in the 22nd minute before Situma adding the second on the 44th minute for a 2-0 up into break.
On resumption, Shilwatso scored her first goal two minutes into the match before netting a brace in the 79th minute as Situma sealed the victory on a brace in the two minutes added time.
Adam, who scored a brace against Malawi in the Olympics 2020 qualifier scored a hat-trick to remain in the title contention.
Nuru Hadima opened the score in the 28th minute as the winners went into break 1-0 up. But Adam’s name was on the score sheet five minutes of restart and added the second twenty minutes later and a hat trick in the one minute added time.
