Cheruiyot, who dominated track before venturing in marathon won last year’s title beating Keitany who finished 5th but Keitany staged a sweet revenge in New York when she claimed her 4th title ahead of Cheruiyot in second position.

Cheruiyot and Keitany will be the centre of attraction as well as Cherono and Kosgei who dominated 2018 world marathon majors across the world.

But they have to deal with Ethiopia’s trio of Tirunesh Dibaba, Tadelech Bekele and Roza Dereje.

Cherono, Kosgei and Keitany top the current World Marathon Majors series rankings with 25 points apiece from their wins in Berlin, Chicago and New York.
