Kenya will host the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) set for next January 2018.
With preparations on top gear, building and renovating sports stadium, Deputy Chief Executive officer and event Director Herbert Mwachiro has much confidence that the facilities will host the continental event across the country.
Mwachiro said that the construction of various playing grounds has been boosted by various ministries, like ministry of Public Works making it easy for the work to run smoothly.
“If you are supported from the top, them be assured that the work is easy. Top government officials are involved therefore I assure you that everything will be ready come January,” said Mwachiro on phone.

The bi-annual tournament that involves players that play football within the continent.
A spot check at Kipchoge Keino stadium contractors are working on the terraces but nothing has been touched on the VIP section of the field.
On Monday, Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) delegation will be in Eldoret to inspect the progress on the facility that is earmarked to host some group games.
“Yes we will be in Eldoret to see the progress and we hope everything will be right,” added Mwachiro was optimistic the facility come next year, will be ready for the championships.
Mwachiro was part of the team that traveled to Gabon on bench-marking exercise where they held many meetings with CAF hierarchy and gave them all levels of support to ensure that Kenya hosts this tournament.
