Kenya women beach volleyball team defeated Nigeria to seal top spot in the final phase in the Continental Cup cum Olympic qualifiers in Agadir, Morocco.
After beating Cape Verde at the golden Match yesterday, today, team two pair of Phoscah Kasisi and Yvonne Wavinya beat Nigeria Team One of Touchi Nnoruga and Albertina Francisca 2-0 (21-13,21-14) before team One side of Gaudencia Makokha and Brackcides Agala overpowered Nigeria Team Two of Amarachi Nwachukuwa and Francisca Ikhiede 2-0 (21-14,21-14).
Following the win, Kenya remains unbeaten in Pool ‘B’ and will be playing their last group match against Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC) tomorrow.
The top three teams in the two pools will proceed to the final phase that is scheduled to serve off on Friday where six teams will join Egypt and Mozambique, who had already qualified for the final round.
