Zane Robertson was arrested yesterday with unlicensed gun and with ammunition.
The 33 year old New Zealand athlete, who has been training in Iten was arrested by police yesterday evening after police discovered an AK-47 rifle and 23 rounds of ammunition in his house on the outskirts of Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
According to Keiyo North sub-county police commander Tom Makori, said the athlete had been reported for sexual assaulting in a house party the previous day and upon arriving at the house, they found the illegal firearm.
