Reining world 1,500m bronze medalist Reynold Cheruiyot and Naomi Korir were the winners of 2km race in today’s Sirikwa Classic Cross Country held in Lobo Village.
The former World U20 champion in ,1500 m won the men’s race in 5:52 minutes ahead of Daniel Munguti and former World 800m Champion Timothy Cheruiyot finished 3rd in 5:54, relegating the Olympic champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi to 4th place

Korir stormed to victory 6:42.3 ahead of Juddy Kemunto, who finished 2nd, while Mercy Kosgei completed the podium positions in a time of 6:54.
