Kenya’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers was today dealt with a blow after going down to Intomidable Lions of Cameroon in their return leg match played at the Nambole stadium in Kampala, Uganda.
After going down 4-1 in the opening match, the Cameroonians managed to squeeze in a 1-0 victory in the return leg match, which was a big blow for the Engin Firat coached side that moved to third on pool J.
With the victory, Cameroon enjoys a ten point lead followed by Zimbabwe with eight points as Kenya moves to third on four points and Namibia taisl with zero points.
Kenya will be hoping to win all their remaining matches, against Zimbabwe and Namibia to sail to the finals set to be staged in Morocco come next year.
The solitary goal was scored by Nouhou Tolo.
