Mwanahalima Adam netted a brace when Harambee Starlets, the national soccer women team against Ethiopia in a friendly match played this evening at Machakos stadium.
Adam’s brace sealed a 3-2 win over Ethiopia in the preparations for the 2020 Olympic Games title chase against Malawi next week.
Her first goal came in the 7th minute after beating two defenders to score with a low shot, beating Ethiopian keeper Balcha Tarikua for 1-0 lead into break.
But Ethiopians leveled in the 50th minute with Mirkat Ayele converting a free-kick beating Kenyan keeper Annet Kundu as Adam sealed her brace in the 59th before Corazon Adhiambo headed Mercy Airo’s cross to seal the victory after Kidane Serkadis had leveled in the 69th minute for a 2-2.
