Am ready to defend my London marathon title- Kipchoge

Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge is optimistic that he will be going to the London marathon not less than a win.

The world marathon record holder said running in London more so defending his title will be good for him as he will be facing off with second best marathoner in the world Kenenisa Bekele from Ethiopia.

“My target is winning the London marathon. Am not going for anything less because my training is great. It has been a while in the competition but all will be well when the day comes,” said the former Chicago marathon winner.

The Berlin course record holder (2:01.39) will be facing Kenenisa, who almost broke the world record, missing with two seconds behind Kipchoge at the 2019 edition.

“It will be a good race and my target is to win, nothing much,” he said

The London marathon is the only remaining race in the World Marathon Majors (WMM) after all races were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The race, which was scheduled to be run on 26th April 2020 was postponed to October 4th 2020 in the colonial masters land
