Former world marathon champion Ruth Chepngetich will return to defend her Chicago Marathon on October 8th. The champion will be up against London marathon champion Sifan Hassan as well as American record-holder Emily Sisson. Chepngetich won last year’s race in 2:14:18 and will be hunting for her third consecutive victory.
