Reigning Kenya Cup champions Kabras RFC started their title defence on a high note beating former Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Championship Kisumu RFC as the league kicked off today.
Former champions KCB also had a good start with victory over Nondescripts.
At the Kakamega Showground, the millers took advantage of home ground beating Kisumu 72-10 in the opener fixtures.
KCB Rugby picked up from where they left off during the 2023 Impala Floodlights final where they narrowly defeated Nondescripts 25-23.
