Confederation of Africa Cycling has condoled with the family of Julius Mwangi, the Kenya Cycling Federation (KCF) who passed on yesterday morning at the Nairobi Hospital after a long illness.

In the message, the federation wrote “It is with great sorrow that the Confederation of African Cycling announces the passing of Mr. Julius Mwangi, CAC Vice-President and President of the Kenya Cycling Federation, early this morning, 30th December 2024.”
“On behalf of the Confederation of African Cycling and myself, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire cycling community. Julius Mwangi was truly a great man—wise, kind-hearted, and guided by strong moral principles. He devoted his life to developing and promoting cycling in Kenya and across Africa, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.”
“For those of us who had the privilege to work alongside him, his absence will be deeply felt. I will always cherish the memories of the journey we began together to build cycling in our beloved continent. Though his loss has left an irreplaceable void, I pray that Allah Almighty grants strength and solace to his family during this time of profound sorrow. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Julius Mwangi will forever remain in our hearts and memories.”
