Nairobi City Thunder, the national Basketball premier league champions have signed three players ahead of the new season and the road to basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers.
After winning their maiden title, they went on to sign forwards William Sidney Davis II of USA and Michel Diogoye Diouf from Senegal and American-Nigerian point guard Uchenna Iroegbu.
William joins Thunder from Venezuelan Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto side Spartans Distrito Capital, Diouf joins Thunder after recently turning out for Bakken Bears in Denmark where he became a four-time Basketligaen Defender of the Year and Point guard Uchenna is joining Thunder from Al-Shamal in Qatar.
The Road to BAL qualifiers tip off in October, and Nairobi City Thunder is eager to leave a significant mark on the competition as the team seeks to extend their last season’s local dominance to Africa.
