For the first time, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup will have a new champion folown the exit of reigning champions Ulinzi Starlets.
Ulinzi, which had won the title three times in a row since inception in 2022 but they fell to Kibera Soccer Women during quarterfinals played yesterday at the Dandora Stadium.
Emily Morang’a Lucy Kwekwe and Linda Kihara scored for Police to book for semifinals.
Today, former Kenya Women Premier League champions Vihiga Queens and Bungoma Queens qualified to play into the semifinals.
At the Afraha stadium in Nakuru county, Vihiga defeated National Super League side Eldoret falcons 4-1 in post-match penalties after a barren draw.
At the same venue today, Bungoma based side Bungoma Queens were 3-0 winners over Trinity Starlets with goals from Catherine Khaemba scored a brace and a goal from Ruth Chebungei.
