Champions KCB Volleyball women team and Kenya Prisons have qualified to play in the semifinals of the ongoing Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) league play-offs at Nyayo and Kasarani indoor arenas.
In men, champions Kenya Prisons reigned supreme against Administration Police of Kenya (APK) 3-0(27-25,27-25 ,25-19) as former champions General Service Unit (GSU) beat Equity Bank 1-3(25-22,26-28,18-25,19-25) as Kenya Defence Forces(KDF) beat Kenya Forest Service (KFS) 3-2(23-25,21-25,25-21,26-24,and 16-14) in an entertaining men’s quarterfinal at Kasarani in their return leg after yesterday’s 3-2 at the same venue, booked the first semifinal slot.
In women, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) beat Nairobi Prisons 3-1( 22-25,25-23,25-20,25-14) to join champions KCB Women’s who defeated Kenya Army in the final round of the best of three series in a fourth-set thriller match with set victories of 3-1 (25-17, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20),while the Kenya Pipeline overpowered Postbank 3-0 (25-10, 25-6, 25-8) to qualify for the semi-finals.
