The reigning Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) half marathon champion Daniel Mateiko secured an Olympic Games 10,000m slot following the 10,000m victory at the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League in Eugene, USA.
Mateiko won the title in 26:50.81 as a wirld lead ahead of Nicholas Kipkorir Kimeli who was second at 26:50.94 with a pwrsonal best on track while Bernard Kibet completed the podium in 26:51.9.
Bethwel Kurgat (26:51.4), Benson Kiplangat (26:55.09), Kibiwott Kandie (26:58.97), Stanley Mburu Waithaka (27:07.37) and Daniel Simiu Ebenyo (27:24.33).
