World half marathon silver medalist Margaret Kipkemboi Chelimo and former world half marathon record holder Kibiwott kandie were the winners of today’s Valencia Half marathon held in Valencia, Spain.
The former world 5,000m silver medalist won the race in …ahead of former world cross country old medalist Irene Cheptai, and Janet Chepngetich.
Kandie defended his title he won last year, the same course he broke world half marathon record in 2021 at 57:32.
He faced a stiff challenge from former World 10,000m silver medallist, Yomif Kejelcha, former Olympic Games 5000m bronze medallist Hagos Gebrhiwet and reigning Olympic Games 10,000m champion Selemon Barega.
