Cheptil Boys came from a set down to beat then defending champions Standard High school from Uganda as federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) in Arusha Tanzania.
The Nandi based school reclaimed the title won 3-1 in 25-21, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23 to become the first Kenyan team to win the title in eight years after Malava Boys High School triumphed in Eldoret in 2016.
In football girls and boys, Wiyeta and Highway lost 2-1 and 2-0 to Uganda’s St Noa Girls Secondary School and Ugandan side Kibuli Secondary School.
In basketball, Dr. Aggrey High School lost the title to St Mary’s Kitende 62-39 to retain the title.
